I’m looking to clone a MIFARE Plus EV1 2K and I have been successful up until actually cloning it onto another keyfob/card (It is SL1). All of the MIFARE Plus EV1 2K keyfobs or cards are only sold through wholesale, cheapest options are still $100+. Are there any alternative chip types that I can clone the original to? Or a specialized market to buy these fobs individually?
Is it being used for access control?
It may just need the UID copied

Yes it is for access control, so in that case I would be able to grab a MIFARE Classic 1k/4k card with a matching 7byte UID size and copy it over? If it only checks for the UID?

Should do for testing the UID
And it does have limited NTAG-21x/I2C capabilities, so maybe more too
If they have a proxmark3 they can just emulate a blank tag with a matching UID too
