(Just trying to keep things short to help you)
That is a great idea. it’s also a good objective.
But you might be thinking backwards.
i.e. most of what you describe still needs an application to be used for.
for example:
First you need to develop something that can be controlled remotely.
And the last step is to build your suit.
As I see it:
- Step 1. Idea: Done.
- Step 2. build a Proof of Concept controller: To-Do
- Step 3. build a Proof of Concept controllable: To-Do
- Step 4. develop an interface (the software that can be used from the controller and into the controllable): To-Do
- Step 5. Build a prototype: To-Do
For the Proof of concept controller, all you need is:
- something like Meta Quest or even Android VR.
- Lucid or, Leap Motion
- Unity 3D and to develop a “game” that takes your gestures and shows them to you in VR.
Once you’ve done that, you need the Proof of Concept controllable.
