Someone suggested on fedi that I make a diagram of x-series implants. I don’t think this is super useful to choose one, because I can’t convey all the nuance in an Euler diagram (like ISO 14443A vs 15693), but it’s still interesting to think about how you could categorise them.
So this is my attempt!
An euler diagram. Title: x-series implants categorised, everything currently available as of 13 April 2026. There are 6 categories: NFC, LF RFID, LED, MIFARE 1K cloning, Temperature, and Other features. The content for each category and combination of categories are as follows: NFC: xNT, xSLX. NFC + Other features: xDF3, Vivokey Spark. LF RFID: xEM, xHT. LED: xLED. NFC + LF RFID: NExT. NFC + LED: xSIID. NFC + LF RFID + LED: NExT v2. MIFARE 1K cloning: xM1. MIFARE 1K cloning + LF RFID: xMagic. Temperature: xBT. Temperature + NFC: Vivokey Thermo. And then the xGlow is outside the diagram, near the xLED. A footer says the following: by Miya Ironami, creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0 1080×1080 80.2 KB
What do you all think? Can you think of any other ways to do this?
Hope I didn’t make any outrageous mistakes! I spent so much time tweaking those ellipses, now my whole brain is circles.

It’s never been something I considered diagramming in this way. Definitely interesting.
