Dont know where else to ask

I dont know where else to ask, but I’m open to direction. I’ve got some UHF tags 860mhz to 960mhz that I want to clone. what device (I’m poor) would you suggest?

You can’t clone onto a standard, read-only tag.
You need “writable” or “blank” UHF 860-960MHz tags that allow you to change the EPC data.

Can you provide info on the tags you have?

You can probably pick up a reader/writer from a chinese vendor for $30-$50
Try and find one that comes with software.

Also, Some, but not all, UHF tags are encrypted and it may be impossible to clone.
You might need to enroll rather than clone.

Can you provide more info on what you are trying to accomplish?

Unfortunately not much. I know they aren’t lf / hf my proxmark find nothing. The scan range is at least 5 ft on it as well. Long story short, my daughter has an epic pass for skiing. She keeps losing it, each time its 30$. I’d like to make a copy of it so when she loses it we don’t need to pay. When it scans the tag it brings up her picture, she doesn’t have to show it to them or anything it scans through her coat. We aren’t trying to do anything shifty like get a free pass which wouldn’t be possible anyway since it brings up her picture. But I’m $120 into passes already.

This doesn’t mean it’s not LF or HF.. it could just be something the proxmark doesn’t know how to identify.

This is a problem because if we help you copy a ski pass, effectively money, on a public forum.. well that’s not good.

How about we convert that ski pass into an implant  then she can’t lose it!

Shes under 18, but I’ve thought of it. I see your point on copying the pass, but I’ve already paid for it AND no one else cna use it since it shows her picture when they scan it.

If you’re the parent you can consent

If they scan it and they are close enough to look at her face and the photo on it then it’s probably not uhf. Photo of the pass? Any markings or numbers on it? Redact her photo of course.

I don’t think OP is saying the photo is on a card, they are saying they walk past a scanner, it reads the tag from 5’ away and displays a photo on the attendant’s screen. It sounds UHF to me.

Agreed.

@zeroaphex You’ll need to get yourself a uhf reader that can also write gen2 (I’m assuming) blank transponders.. both of which are generally sold to enterprise or big industrial outfits.. but even then, without having a good scan of the ski pass it’s a shot in the dark as to what you’ll need.

I appreciate the information all!

This sounds more like UHF to me.
To confirm 100%
Grab a bright torch :flashlight: and shine the light from the backside, the silhouette should look something like this

Have you looked at alternative ways of storing it.

My mountain pass is a Mifare Ultralight, so it’s NFC and “short” range
My gloves have a small pocket on them, that make it easy to tap to the gate and i have never lost a card.
