Dual frequency ring restock?

Hello, i was hoping to get a dual frequency ring for a friend as a christmas gift but they are completely out of stock. I know theres the options of the magic rings, but id like for them to be able to write to the ring from a smart phone and be read by a smart phone, instead of requiring a proxmark3

Will any more of the dual frequency ring be produced soon?

No, it has been discontinued. But, what size are you looking for? We might have one lying around.

The dual freq ring with NTAG chip would be your better option

Hopefully @tac0s can find you one of those in Size 10

So, I couldn’t find any of the old Dual Freq rings but I did find some of the even older Vintage rings which, IIRC they are NTAG216s without a t5577. And on top of that, we have a bunch of size 6.5s and one size 11. We also found some Magic Ring v1s in size 10 that, assuming no issues crop up in programming, will mean that particular size will be back in stock next week.

Can the v1 magic rings be programmed and read via smartphone?

If you have an Android phone, yes. But, if you are trying to do something like share a link or contact info, it’s not a great tool as MIFARE Classic predates NDEF so support is spotty at best. The ring is geared more towards access control on the high and low frequency sides.

Edit: Amal points out that there are some Android phones that use atypical NFC chips (such as Broadcom) that do not support MIFARE Classic.
