Currently I’ve got these, quite happy with them - when I wear them every day, they last for 1,5 - 2 years (my good ol’ docs didn’t last longer, to be honest). The “paleo chainmail shoes” look interesting as well, but I couldn’t wear them at work, so… not for me 
The ones I chose are actually not very noticeable, pretty nice everyday-shoes I think.

Why not? Does your work mandate wearing a very particular outfit?
It indeed does, and I’m already stretching its limits quite a lot by wearing quite a lot of visible piercings… working in the retail sector, always in contact with the customers and “blessed” with quite a conservative employer. Sigh.
But the compromise is okay for me, too - the paleos look incredibly interesting, but might be a little too… hm, totally-not-ladylike 
Shoes are a veeeery difficult topic for me - those I really like can’t be worn all day without damaging my health
