FlexNT Orientation?

I’m not sure if this has been covered…I could have sworn that I read it on here somewhere a little while ago, but now I can’t seem to find the post again.

Anyway, I’m getting a FlexNT chip installed soon, and I was wondering if there is a preferable orientation for the device…should it be implanted face-side up or down? Or does it matter?

I tried scanning the chip both ways (while still inside the capsule) to see if I could spot an improvement one way or the other, but didn’t conclusively come up with anything…any thoughts?

It really doesn’t matter, however I prefer black side up… really this is only because it puts the die chip facing down, so there may be a very slight improvement to blunt force impact protection by doing this… but this is untested and probably irrelevant… it’s just my personal preference.
