Implant access not reading today and it’s pushing my patience

Not sure if this is just bad timing or something deeper, but today has been one of those days where small tech issues pile up and really get under your skin.

I have an NFC implant that I use regularly for basic access tests and quick reads with my phone. It’s usually reliable, but since this morning it’s been inconsistent. Sometimes it reads instantly, other times the phone doesn’t detect anything at all. Same device, same lighting, same position. I restarted the phone, cleaned the area, waited a bit, and it still feels random.

What’s making this more frustrating is that I’m already dealing with an unrelated issue where my NBAD (uae) bank app isn’t showing my correct balance. That’s obviously outside the scope of this forum, but when you’re already stressed because something as basic as checking your own balance isn’t working, running into flaky behavior with an implant you normally trust just adds to it.

I’m trying to figure out if this sounds like early signs of implant degradation, a phone side issue, or just one of those days where NFC decides to be temperamental. I haven’t changed phones recently and the implant site feels normal.

If anyone has run into similar on and off read issues without any physical damage or recent installs, I’d appreciate hearing how it played out for you. Right now it’s the combination of things failing at once that’s really getting to me.

How long have you had the implant?
