I have nothing against it. Body piercers aren’t allowed to do it because it is “functional” although I do know someone who isn’t a licenced piercer. Other body mods are not allowed as the Oregon health authority don’t yet have a safety protocol, and if they did they might still be banned because of the fact that they are functional.
Despite working in healthcare (IT) I don’t know that many medical professionals.
I might have to make a trip up to the Seattle area when the Apex is available though.
It’s a very word of mouth industry. You’ll always find something if you look. There’s weirdos pretty much everywhere. Seattle seems like a safe bet though. They’ve got a surplus of weird.

I’m writing my master’s thesis on the different motivations for (extreme) body modifications with a small digression on biohacking and found you during my search for studios. I also have a few body modifications myself and accordingly also chose this topic out of personal interest.
Now I am looking for people from different countries who would be willing to participate in an online questionnaire (English and German).
Unfortunately, the search is very difficult - I can’t get enough people motivated at the moment and time is very tight.
The questionnaire takes about +/- 20 minutes (depending on how many body modifications you have).
It is important that the questionnaire is answered by the end so that I can use the (anonymous!) data. The data will not be passed on to third parties and can in no way be traced back to the participants!
If you are willing to help me with this, or if you know people who would like to do this, it would be a great help!
What do they mean by “I consider myself a Neo primitive”? I looked up the definition on wikipedia but it was not sufficiently descriptive. Also, Urban primitive seems to be self descriptive but it is hard to formulate an answer without understanding the question.
Also had to put ‘i dont know’ about the primitives. Not terms i have ever come across. But with my implant I feel far from primitive. More like the opposite. Perhaps evolutionarily advanced
If it’s still the same questionnaire, I see little reason to fill it out again, as it is extremely lacking.
edit: okay, it’s basically the same, and they still ask some pretty stupid questions about sexual practices and other silly stuff I already criticized when it was posted for the first time
