New LAKS PAY sounds like ideal payment implant

Oh nice! So by the end of the year  Gotta convert from Elon time here. Are you going to put more info on this thread or which thread should we subscribe to to get notified when it drops?

Only way to get things done

Ha ha this is gonna sound like I’m talkin shit but it’s just poking fun. The only way to get things done is to do the things =P

Has anybody tested out one of the LAKS pay wearables and can report on their features and whether they actually are tokenizable in the field?

I don’t think this is talking shit at all. I try to do that when I can. As far as a payment device like this I do some searches every few weeks to see if anything new comes up but the us market is pretty dry.

Yeah, I was tired of playing the game of jumping from one wearable company to the next for implant conversions which is why I made the CoM conversion. You can just use your card and be done with it. I get that people don’t want an expiring payment implant but that just means you don’t get a payment implant for now. Nobody said early adoption would be easy.

We’ve been in for the long haul on tokenized payment implants and we still have a ways to go. The VivoKey ring supports payments currently in the EU, and we’re still working on the US market because partners are flaky. The Apex likely won’t support payments officially for quite some time.

Even if Amal is working on some tokenized wearable conversion he really wouldn’t want to talk about it too much here while he’s working everything out. Wearable companies are self enforcing MasterCard police. If we talk about it for months and it gets indexed by search engines on this very public forum that is the first result for most of this niche stuff they’ll get wise and have time to prepare a plan to stop it.

If you want to contribute keep looking for wearables to suggest, try them out, and if you really want to help get one of the existing payment implant options and use it a bunch. Spreading the word about this technology and making it normalized is the best way for us to eventually get industry acceptance.
