Could be whether it is ‘weak’ or ‘hardened’
If i recall correctly from when i looked into this, when the nested attack (which is really fast) came out, NXP revised the chips to ‘harden’ their security. It got broken quickly i believe, and the hard nested attack came out. No more secure, but takes more time.
