Got some repeaters from Hamspiced and am blown away by how much it helps out!
I have gotten my front door’s Schlage to scan my xMagic just a few times in awkward angles that are impossible with the door shut. Probably 4 times it has scanned successfully with over an hour of trying to mess with it. (Side note for the vid, I tried changing the batteries to help with reading to no avail, and now it has a long loud beep that you hear in the vid.) Now I can get consistent reads and I don’t have to mess with positioning! Now I just need to talk to the leasing office about placing one on the other doors and gates and I can ditch the key fob!
I also placed one on my phone to help with consistent reads and the positioning time as decreased dramatically. I’ve kind of gone back to week 1 with an xSIID and just playing around with the led since it’s so much easier now haha
