Shaped.. foot pads are cut ready to go in last. Now time to get the crayons out and have a doodle… i should also put it the threaded inserts in for the bindings..

I had a bright idea of adding runners to the male mold. Then cast that in concrete. Producing a female mold. Then just fill that full of fiberglass and resin. To make repeatable boards… just need to drill in the strap insets and stick on the foot pads… worth a try. I have loads of stuff left over…

Its time to do that thing i said id do above…
Ive covered the mold with a plastic board and I have prototyped some plastic runners that I just glue and screw togeather.
Just finalising the sizes so I can print the final runners tidy like.
Then ill screws it all togeather make a box around it and fill it full of concrete and some rebar at some point…
This will leave a concrete female mold i can just fill with fiberglass paper mache style.. with the runners being part of the fiberglass form… repeatability…
Yes I know i have to treat the concrete to stop shit sticking to it. Any ideas?.

They actually sell a release agent for this purpose. It reacts with the concrete and gives a smooth finish.
Not sure how much it is though
You can homebrew it though, any cooking oil should work, also vaseline apparently

I was going to make a concrete benchtop at one stage and had designed the mould, but I changed my mind.

Updates… its snowing…
I didnt finish it in time as I was not able to get the metal runners needed for the underside of the board. But my previous version is good to go… the profile for the concrete mold is current been prepped and primed for casting…
ill go for a Play when the sun comes out. Ill post something bellow in a few hours. 
I love snow days. Typically I start on the small hills by my house. And end up flying down the side of the mountain by the end of the day. Wish me luck.

Another year… as I’ve said before I demand it be lighter.. so its time to make that concrete femail mold. And fill it with fiberglass The male side is all done and prepped ready to go. Im currently building a box to go around it. And cutting some rebar to go in the void… I plan to fill it with ready mix… or post create what evers cheaper..
