Reverse Wireless Charging Poll

Do you have reverse wireless charging (Power Share) on your phone that allows you to wirelessly charge peripherals like earbuds? Answer yes or no in the poll below please.

Most phones use the Qi charging protocol, but if your phone uses another please comment I’m very interested. Apple currently does not support reverse wireless charging, so if you have an iPhone my condolences and answer no in the poll.

I see where this is going :smirk:
But isn’t there some communication between the phones that has to happen for it to actually start delivering power at full scale? Or is it an on/off situation?

Yes, but a rarely ever use it. I have a few Qi chargers in my house and desk so my earbuds end up on those when I’m not charging my phone.

*Adds feature to futureRobotBodyDesignRequirements.txt

*Note to self, don’t ever tell anyone about being able to charge phones by holding them

I’m not sure what you mean

Yeah, the Qi receiver IC needs to negotiate a power certificate with the transmitter before any power will transfer

Isn’t there a minimum sans negotiation? At least enough to power the receiver to enable negotiations, but I thought there was quite a high minimum like 200mA or something? Maybe I’m wrong

Haven’t you been working on some sort of Qi power receiver module for implants recently?

Is it easy to fake that?

I think Amal meant minimum amount of power delivered despite not recognizing the other device

And my S24+ can easily light up the xFD and Diagnostic Card to an uncomfortable brightness.

Both survived my tests. :sunglasses:
