RFID in the wild :rfid_hadouken:

Some areas charge based on how much trash you throw away. I’m willing to bet this is how they determine it.

UK bins, they don’t charge by amount (wont take anything not inside the bin) but they do charge for frequency of collection (weekly, biweekly, monthly) and for washing services.

we have different bins for different things like garden waste which doesn’t need collecting as often as household trash.

you also have to buy the bin itself from the council.

we dont have these fancy fandangled robot arms on our trucks, just simple grip lifts, so they get dragged by hand from the curb into the pickup slot.

I wish they’d charge the companies that make me buy all the unwanted packaging in the first place.

Just saw it at a local store. Looks like maybe the boxes come RFID tagged? Probably for inventory control? Sadly, I had no way to scan it, and couldn’t find anything just by physically inspecting it. Thought it worth a mention though.

I probably oughta mention, it’s a box they bought full of fishing rods.

If it is for inventory then it’s probably UHF… nice find

Another one. Random find in the Wal-Mart.
