I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I have thought about putting a small capacitor across the “start/pause” button on my washing machine. My thinking is that there is probably a pull-up, and by having the capacitor across it when the machine starts up, it will take a little while longer for the voltage to rise and the controller might interpret that as the button being pulled low.
No idea of the values that would be needed, how you could re-jig it if it uses a pull-down and the button pulls high, or if it would even work, but I like the idea of being able to turn on the washing machine automatically so it’s on my todo list.
A slightly more complex option might be a small circuit board with a 555 triggering a little reed relay.
I’d totally get this system installed and get a set of titanium or stainless nails.
But I assume that this is a mannequin of some sort.
Does anyone know if 256KB PM3s will error out/yell at you if you try to flash the whole firmware to them? Or do they just sort of feign completion?
Yep it errors out. You can omit features during compile to make it fit though.
