It’s definitely in the realm of possibility, but real world practice has plenty of gotchas. For example, capacitors and other storage are not perfect mediums. They leak current internally. They have internal resistance. Light levels won’t be constant. Dips in current sourcing will result in immediate storage losses.
Still, experimentation seems worth doing.
