May I suggest you look at hunting torches (flashlights)
They make them with * Blue LED (450nm):
I have an
UltraFire CB1 Blue LED Flashlight
~USD$25
Maybe more than people would want to spend on a torch, but I can send it over for testing if you like, or even just donate it for the cause.
I’ve heard it referred to as “royal blue” LED, and also heard that for horticulture and aquariums, but I dont know enough to send you down that path…
For those not aware:
Blue light, specifically in the 450NM range is excellent for following blood trails.
The blood appears black in contrast to the blue illumination
It’s not used before shooting, because deer, pigs and birds see blue VERY well.
FYI
I just searched for some images, but THESE ARE NOT ACCURATE IN THE SLIGHTEST
I’ll find something and update
This one is closer, but still not great
You’ll note the contrast, everything other than blood is blue, and the blood is “black”

Have I derailed?
Did you want me to move my post?
