xEM Reader Installed In Car

I’d like to share what I’ve done with the group. I’ve had the xEM chip implanted in my left hand but I didn’t really have a use for it; I just wanted to do it.

I did a little research into RFID entry for cars and saw a few videos about it, so I thought I’d give it a go. I’m not really that into programming, so I decided to use a relay system and a spare key I had for my car.

So far, I’ve installed a reader into the boot of my car, with more readers being installed later for locking/unlocking.

Here is a video link of my progress so far: https://youtu.be/Un7CqTUrGZE (video was filmed to explain it to my family).

Happy to hear anyone’s questions or ideas on improving the setup.

Nice work!

Thanks Amal! Means a lot mate

That is fantastic. I worked as a low voltage electrician, installing security systems across the US for a summer. I drove an 04 Mustang at the time and ended up making tons of fun ‘electrical’ mods.

This looks like a cool project with a practical side to it as well. Sweet work!
