I have had it installed for nearly a year so it’s not a swelling issue. The light glows bright and have tried with over 10 devices, from multiple phones to proxmark. I am completely unable to grab any information with tag info, NFC tools, tagwriter. Fear it may be bricked even though the most I had on there was my resume or YouTube links. Is there a way to hard reset it and hopefully make it work again? If not still a cool little party trick
Someone else will have better info than me. You might be able to try clearing it with the Format Memory option in NFC Tools. I would get a Proxmark and see if it could be read with that using commands like ‘hf search’ and ‘hf mfu info’.

I’ve managed to leave it in some kind of weird config once or twice, and just did a reformat… and then wrote something to it and it seemed to be fine after
I’m not an expert on the xSIID, but my understanding, if the led is lighting up… the chip is passing off extra power to the led… so it doesn’t sound physically broken just corrupt or out of whack

Are there any good resources on setting up the proxmark and what software to use?
Are you quint256 on the discord? I shared the raw commands that would factory reset your sector 0 user data (pages 04-E1) on there just in case you had some vestigial NDEF message header that was messing with the read. The next step was to check your config bytes. Scorp was nice enough to share his xSIID’s config info.
For future reference the raw commands you can use in NFC Shell or NFC Tools Advanced Commands are:
Read: 30
Write: A2
so to read the UID you would send:
3000
and then
3001
to write 01 02 03 04 hex bytes to page 04 you would send:
A20401020304
You want your config bytes to look like these, and you want all your user space to be full of 00 bytes

For anybody else who wants it, here is the raw commands you would use to wipe the user space of a NExT or xSIID to all 00s using NFC Shell. You could do the same with NFC Tools Advanced Commands, but you would need to change the delimiter from /n to , and then break it up into smaller chunks to send and I just cbf
