125KHz Repeater Project - Test units shipped

Shit happens life has to life.

I’m at least getting into a groove where I’m group ordering things from the fab house to save shipping. That is at least a plus. @DeviantOllam in his kindness of reviewing the repeaters have been the silver lining of the otherwise poopy month.

Not sure yet. I gotta wait and see how much these caps are going to cost and what they’re gonna charge me.

Would you be willing to put me in touch with someone that did the design of the Field Detector? Would like to ask some questions.

hamspiced@gmail.com

They responded to one of my emails asking for my whatsapp about 3 months ago but i never got a response on whatsapp. then their site seemed to be overrun with malware.

Call for testers.

Before i make a batch of these for production i want to put out a call for testers. I do not use LF at all for any of my projects or use. So i would like some testers to use these and give me their opinion and functionality notes.

Pilgrim will get a unit as normal, but i want two more people for independant testing. These prototype units will be pretty raw and unpolished.

Im looking for someone that can be thorough, that can provide objective findings and post them here as they find it. Ill send the unit to wherever you are located at no cost to you. If you are interested please reach out to me or reply to this thread.

Tester 1 - @Pilgrimsmaster
Tester 2 - @AmeliaM
Tester 3 - @XEMON

I would like to have your results posted Publically in another thread ill create here within 1 week of you receiving the Item. if successful i would like to have production units by mid to late november. so a quick response is ideal. Pilgrim i know how your shipping/receiving system works so you dont need to worry about this timeframe.

I’d like to test them. I have a LF battery powered door lock at work that doesn’t pick up my xmagic at all. I’m hoping this will make it usable

Do you have any other devices that you would be able to test with. Something where you can get distance measurements.

I know it’s impossible to get as granular as pilgrim but I want to try to get as much variety as possible. I only have 5 prototypes to use. One is unpopulated, one is populated that I’ll retain and three others are going out to testers

I have a flipper I can use as well but definitely understand if you want someone with more of a use case for testing

This run is just going to be data gathering. I am uncertain if the signal will even repeat. When i have it metered on the VNA it looks like it is indeed pulling power at 125khz. With the tags i have it appears to be repeating the signal to the flipper, but real world use case, i cant be certain.

I have a flipper, xac v2 and 3, along with several different LF use cases

Would be happy to volunteer

@XEMON has claimed the final spot.

Test units will go out on Monday. I’ll start a new thread and tag each user once the units ship.

I had free time today, surprisingly. So test units went out today. I’ll monitor tracking information but they should be arriving by Wednesday with the exception of pilgrimaster

Thank you again for the opportunity; I needed an excuse to get calipers anyways

I use LF at both of my office locations, and some of the readers see my NExT and some have such low output that they just can’t get there.
I would LOVE to test these if you still need any people to test on different readers in various environmnets.

Thanks!

Currently we are all full up on testers. Hopefully by next week we will see if it’s worth me making these and you’ll have your own.
