125khz rfid reader/writer device

Hi, I need advice for a simple device to copy a 125khz rfid tag and write it to another 125khz rfid tag.

I looked at the proxmark3 but it seems a little overkill for my needs. Can anybody suggest a simple quality device that I could achieve this with please. Thanks in advance

Hello!

Do you know what tags you are working with? The tag you are writing the info to should generally be a T55xx tag.

The PM3 is absolutely what you need, but if this is a one time thing, a Blue Cloner Gun may or may not be acceptable. Keep in mind, these tend to have major issues and I would avoid using them on an implant. If you are sure you have a T55 tag, the Blue gun might work and can be found on amazon.

Are you absolutely sure that the tag you want to clone is 125kHz?

Thankyou for your help.

I believe they are T5577. I will double check when I get into work in a bit.

It’s keyring tags for our door entry system. Someone has previously copied some for us using a flipperzero and as it worked, we are looking for our own device so we can copy them ourselves without the expensive price from the company that supplied the door entry system many years ago.

I have seen those blue handheld devices on amazon but all have bad reviews and say they don’t really work so am abit dubious of purchasing one.

They are 100% 125khz tags

Well, let me put it this way:

A PM3 is about $80. Is that less expensive than the product that the OEM will sell you? Plus customer service here on the forum is free

A PM3 WILL do it, a Blue Cloner MIGHT do it, but for ease of use, you could get yourself a Flipper zero, guaranteed to work then save profile on the Flipper and write easily as an when you need it.

Or

Buy a flipper zero, Clone a whole cunt load of tags, sell your Flipper Zero.

You have lots of options, none are wrong, but you just need to decide which one suits you best

if you get a proxmark, we will walk through the super easy precompile setup and ill give you instructions on cloning when we know what we are working with.

My advice would be get a cheap blue handheld cloning gun from amazon, test if it can clone your fobs, if it can, great!, if it cant, return it to amazon and get the PM3 and we can get you all set up with a guide to do exactly what you need.

the pm3 looks daunting but its really not.

Thanks for all your advice people. Probably going to go for a flipperzero as I know it already works. With shipping costs for the pm3 to my location the flipper will cost around the same and I think once its setup it will be easier for others to use as I work with some technophobes and will be easier to teach them to use it as opposed to the pm3.

Again thankyou people for all your help.
