2024.09.09 - Dr. Phil Primetime: Biohacking

Well, myself and other prominent biohackers were featured on Dr. Phil’s new show Primetime, on his new network Merit+.

The first time it was kind of a “faceoff” type situation, but this go it was more of a good faith look at biohacking and the potential for humanity moving forward.

The link above is for the episode on Merit+ but they don’t have any kind of descent internet sharing media, openGraph, or anything … someone over there at Merit+ needs “a stern talking to”. Alternatively I’ve uploaded to YouTube (for as long as it remains untagged for copyright);

We can still view the YT video. Not sure what issue others are running into or if we’re able to get around it being in a different region? If you’ve got a VPN then try watching it in Australia.

That was a very well done talk. do you know the other people?

Yep we all know each other. I’d never met David in person before but he was as cool as expected. The only guy we didn’t know was the wired magazine editor guy at the end… but even he was cool. We talked after and he was stoked about what we were doing.

Thank you! So proud of that design, it says
more human

Based on a philosophy against the idea that embedding a microchip makes you less human, we commonly hear “more machine than human” or “I rather stay being human”, but in reality since the beginning of history humans have always created and adapted new technologies and change their lives, adopting ourselves to new technologies is exactly what makes us human, so someone who looks forward to the future, takes advantage of progress being made to better their lives, to me, is more human than someone who refuses to adapt and progress. Lol just my opinion tho.

I agree. It is human nature to hope, dream, aspire, progress, and grow. In fact, it is the nature of life in general to grow. And, in fact, it is the very nature of being itself to be, not just to passively to exist, but to actively be what one is. Form is function. To be what one is is to interact with the world according to what one is, to express oneself into all that one touches.

So we be, we live, we are human, and therefore we reach into nature, reshape it with our handprint, producing human artifact, eat it, and reshape ourselves around it. Transhuman reshapes human around human artifact of human experience, because transhuman is human.

Thank you so much. I downloaded it. Much easier than having to sign back in and find it and watch a stream on a web player.
