Am I just paranoid?

Greetings all.
I just recently ordered my first implants and there’s something weird going on with the shipping.
I’ve never had this happen before and I order a lot of weird stuff online.
The package made it to Sacramento and then the next check-in was Dallas TX.
I live 2 hours from Sacramento.

This sounds crazy but did the feds intercept my implants?

It’s Christmas package season. Some underpaid, unconcerned, and probably a little high, dockworker picked your package up and chucked it into the wrong pile. Happens sometimes.

I’ve also seen some weirdish hub and spoke routes, but that’s more the exception than the rule.

To be fair, the airport officers on my recent trip through Rome were very interested in my straw hat. They split me off to a separate wing for a more intensive security check and the whole team of guards took the hat to a corner and had a huddle around it like it was the most dangerous thing they’d seen since nitroglycerin. Eventually they gave it back, but, you never know. Sometimes bureaucracies freak out about the strangest things.

Straw is hollow tubes. Tubes that could be filled with elicit substances.

While that is true, the amount that can fit in a hat is probably tiny. IMHO, this just feels like they’re grasping at straws…

In NZ and Australia, our BioSecurity restrictions are quite tight, organics, foods etc. are screened quite stringently.
If your straw hat was made in a local village by one of the local Aunties and you tried to bring it into our countries, you would likely get the same attention and would likely be confiscated for distruction;
If however it looked like it went through and industrial process that would kill and insects, fungus etc. It would pass through no problem but I would still need to be looked at that to make a decision

Most other countries I have been to are not quite so strict, including Italy…:man_shrugging:

Products like soap and deodorant freaks them out as well, “cosmetics” are highly regulated. While having some in your suitcase is rarely a problem, try ordering off Amazon…

The attitude of the southern cone is along the lines of “So that product is safe enough to be sold the US and the EU? Very cute! Those places are stupid and we know best, you must get everything certified by the local authorities.”

Argentina used to be the same way about electrical stuff, but the power strips those pretentious fucks make are horrifying on the inside…

Ive also been told to make peace with the files for refusing to eat food that a fly has landed on. Guess you can make peace with the giardia as well…

Curiously, even while being strict about the hat, they let me keep my bottle of water that all the other airports had made me drink.

Too distracted by the hat

They saw the water, I offered to drink it, but they actively told me it was fine to keep it.

They knew the explosives were in the hat.

Note to self: if the world goes full authoritarian, buy straw hats in bulk and start a smuggling operation.
