well.. i’m hitting another problem with Klarna directly.. i am getting a lot of random declines.. and in the klarna app it says “suspicious”.. but it’s for things like physical transactions at mcdonalds.. nothing online.. it’s happening so often that i can’t trust klarna and have to have a second form of payment at the ready all the time.
klarna is an EU company and i must say, the attitudes of EU/UK financial institutions toward who owns the money in your account is fundamentally different from US banks. it is 100% understood that banks over there will question you about what you’re wanting to use “their money” for, especially if you want to withdraw it from the bank in cash. you will outright be denied access to “the bank’s money” if you want to take cash out and can’t give a reason that satisfies the bank. if that happened here in the US i think there would be.. violence.. let’s just put it that way.. and with good reason (imho).
anyway.. yet another disappointment in the cyborg payment saga.. i can’t possibly rely on klarna at this rate of transaction declines. re-trying results in the same decline. nothing fixes it except trying on another day.
