Any repeaters for frequencies other than 13.56mhz?

Hi there,

I have one of those rfid controlled catflaps that can struggle to detect the chip in my cat. Probably because it is located between the cat’s shoulders and the reader is down low on the side of the flap’s tunnel.

So, wanting to see if I could increase the range and read reliability I purchased 20mm and 60mm repeaters. But like a fool I didn’t bother to confirm that the flap and chip were 13.56mhz like the repeaters, and they aren’t. Of course, in my application the repeaters do nothing and the field detector detects nothing when the flap’s radio is on.

So a little digging tells me that the flap and chip probably operate in the 125, 128, or 134.2khz band. Does anyone know whether similar repeaters are available at these frequencies?

There is some work being done on it, but its not ready yet.

There might be some other options though
