Apex + T5577 Rings Found!

It happened again: we unearthed something exciting from the bowels of the lab. There is an extremely limited quantity of Apex + T5577 rings available in sintered ceramic. How limited? There are only three sizes available: 6, 9, and 13. These never made it into production due to concerns with the fairly delicate ceramic design–see also, Magic Ring v2.

Looking to try a wearable, payment enabled Apex device before committing to an implant? Here you go

Where are you posting this? Everyone here in the club is willing to get more implants… Although those rings might be useful for certain applications, like a backup, or for an additional bank account.

Any chance of a conversion?

We have plenty of t5577s, not reason to convert one of these. But if you wanted to explore custom work, we could. It would a not small disc, I imagine.

I am definitely considering it. I recall rings like these having some durability challenges. Are there any specific care instructions or is it more like “just try not to bang it on stuff”?

This. Also, don’t shower, wash dishes, go swimming, etc with it on. The moisture issue only seemed to effect a small fraction but it’s best not to push it. And then most folks impacted had luck throwing it in a dehydrator over night. Key symptom was reduced range.

Sounds good, sounds good. And just to confirm, although other wearables and accessories out there work with Fidesmo pay, none of them would have the same applet support that this has, right?

From what I understand, that is correct but @amal could give a more concrete answer.

Basically correct. There are two reasons for this, the first being that many other Fidesmo Pay wearables use a chip from Infineon that simply can’t run much other than payment. The second is that other devices that do use the same chips are batched in such a way that they have not licensed our applications on the Fidesmo platform.

Makes sense to me. Would it qualify for free shipping in the US due to the price? I tried putting it in my cart but I don’t see the option for free shipping appear.

The free shipping deal is for implants
