Don’t suppose you have a Proxmark3?

I don’t have, and I don’t think I could do anything with it, the chip is in the dog

You should be able to just wipe the tag, that should stop the system from responding

lf em 4x05 wipe

Something like a Flipper Zero might work too

I thought nfx kill could do it, I will have to sell it and get FZ

I thought the NFCKill was specifically for HF credentials, but a quick search suggests it actually should work for LF chips like this, so it may just be a connection issue, implants are a little harder to kill than cards

You could keep trying with the NFCKill

Though personally I still think reprogramming the tag would be a neater solution, and could allow you to re-enroll the dog with a dog door if wanted

do you think it can be programmed while chip insert in the dog? With fliper?

If it really is an EM4305, then I believe it should be re-writable

I don’t personally have an LF implant right now to test against, but I have heard the flipper is pretty good with them

maybe i should try with Proxmarkt3,but I don’t know anything about them, Flipper is probably easier to use, I wouldn’t want to spend more money, I bought the NFC killer for that reason

My recommendation would be to keep those options in mind and wait for some other input at the moment

I’m not super well versed in the world of animal-implants, and there are some terrifically smart people on the forum here, you might get some better ideas here soon

In the meantime I’d put a little thought into whether it’s more worth it to keep using the NFCKill in the hopes to fry the implant vs getting a new tool to reprogram it

I honestly was expecting a very different kind of thread. But I’m glad that it’s a real thread. :slightly_smiling_face:

The model of dog door might be helpful. Although I’m not familiar with pet products.

I’d definitely recommend going the Flipper or Proxmark3 route unless your dog has multiple chips for some reason.

I don’t know the model, there is no mark anywhere, it was already installed in that house

the flipper can’t communicate with em4305 due to the required bi-directionality that the flipper does not (yet) have, thought be unable to be done due to hardware.

the proxmark would be the tool for the task IF it’s an em4305. a lot of pet chips aren’t em4305 and are just FDX-B which can’t be wiped overwritten etc etc.

the NFC kill should work for this.

i am sketched out at someone wanting to fry a chip WITHIN a dog that suggests to me that the dog is stolen, so i won’t be continuing to help on this, just wanted to get the facts out there RE feasible devices

Maybe I’m just jaded but guys, before we help a potential dog thief here, why don’t we look a little closer at the stated problem… can’t register chip with the dog door? Get a new dog door. Don’t fuck with the animal’s chip.

ok, thanks for the answer, the vet can remove the microchip with a simple surgery, it’s not about that

well i know the vet can remove the chip with a simple surgery. the vet won’t do that if you aren’t the owner of the dog and registered owner on the chip information.

if you could just have the vet remove the chip why are you trying to get/disable it inside of the dog.
