Blinkies on flexies are gonnies

well, if the kbr1 is providing full power and it’s still very bright, then chances are it’s your phone

I do agree!!

It just dawns on me that it’s the same brightness with any of my 3 phones I had these last few years…

Ok, I confess I refuse to pay more than 100$ for a phone and they are all unknown brands… so it’s a no-brainer to assume it’s my phone…

Only that top notch iPhones and Samsung flagships from friends also reach the same lower brightness in comparison to the KBR or my ACR122…

so… :woman_shrugging:

it might be a power saving move in the underlying NFC stacks. iPhones have always been kinda meh on NFC power output but Android has made some pretty serious moves in NFC support… not all of them without fallout.

I cannot be 100% certain of that (i.e. mnemonic bias), but I did see a correlation between the lower brightness coming in at the same time that most phones around me had that new imbecile “your nfc is turned on” banner which you could not remove…

And I only tested on iphones recently because… well… apple has terrible ethics and I try to steer away from them.
