Changeable UID Implant vs xNT

So I’ve noticed that there seem to be UID changeable “Mifare” chips on the market. What are the differences between this type of RFID chip and a xNT chip. Would they still be compatable with the Dangerous NFC app to lock the lock bits down?

We have a UID changable chip in development; the xM1+ which is a “Mifare Classic” memory structure with changeable sector 0 (which contains the UID).

The short answer to your question is; both the xM1+ and the xNT are ISO14443A tags, but they are totally different when it comes to memory structure and feature set. You might want to read up more about tags, UIDs, cloning, etc. at this thread; https://forum.dangerousthings.com/t/rfid-nfc-tags-cloning-and-emulation
