This section is going well. The new well is nearly complete. Will install the pump tomorw . And finish off the odd jobs in this section.

A week later and the well has settled a bit lets check the colour of the water…

I also camouflaged the chimney to look like a tree stump

And installed it…

a new day a new project this month its phase 4, another layer o the secret spot, this time with a shower ,a shitter and a water storage tank for watering the plants,





few more treads, then we can start the plateau above, looks like it grew there…

Went up to plant some plants and put in some slug traps. Heres some fresh pics

This years 2 do list. Build the walls in the middle tear. ( perimiter wall near fire pit. ) pave the non grassed side Of the same layer. Finish steps. Prep ground for shower/shitters. Cut down trees to open canapee. Deadline mid september or befor the google mapa update.( which evers first). Will build shitters slowly throught winter

Big day yestiday. Completed the steps and started to level the next phase. Ready for showers n shitters….yeh that tree will be dug out..

Final post on this section. All leveled. Wall and bench made. And trees chopped for more light…

So what’s next… well we need to burry some posts and make shelter roof. Dig and fit the waste water pipe. Then design a manual footpump for the shower. And plumb the roof into the water catchment barrel which I carried up a few days before…

Yes that’s right that’s a vintage 1990s 1st generation solo bin. Befor they had the sense to put wheels on it. It’s been in my family for generations holding everything from animal feed to car parts… yes I fully bleached and jetwashed it..

in terms of work flow its actually been a slow year. its been to hot this summer for graft, i stll have about 15ft of walls and 4m2 of flooring to lay. and i need to gather all the suitable stone , and get the grass to grow

Can replace 16 hours with 22-24 hrs ish, was telling Chimpo about it yesterday! And proof without even cherry picking locations (I could make it up to 28 hrs from what I recall) -

few months later and we are back for another season of out door shinanigins. Spring has arrived and the trees are about to burst foth with life. So theres Few jobs to do befor spring gets fully underway. We have to plant like 500 trees. (I did about 50 yestiday) we have a bunch of fruit to go in… some grass to go down. And a bunch of seasonal vedge to go in. Cambin seems to be holding up well. We have a slighty leak to look at but with a nice toasty fire the cabin drys out quickly. Ill re roof it this year me thinks…
