you all took too long with your suggestions…lame…
so i decided to rename the thread, and finally build this. a sunken stone fire pit…
here…
This is the garden of my tree house, my special secret space in the middle of no where… some of you know about it others will not. this year ive decided to make this area pretty before the hand of nature touches it, to take full advantage of the growing season. so i will be building the fire pit, turfing the area and planting a load of plants,and doing some things to the underground log cabin that we made last year. feel free to join me on this ongoing adventure… lets go…
so here is my muddy hole i dug last season, its pure clay and its icky and made the lower phase boggy. so we dug a huge hole and installed a french drainage system. this seems to have done the trick, so first this needed to be dug level and a nice mote added to lower the watershed.
nom nom nom, i was caked in mud after this, now we line the hole with membrane and fill it full of gravel that needs to be hand collected… that took ages…
more digging to get it as level as i can before covering with more membrane and added a perforated pipe…
and now to lay a bunch of drive way support tiles… to create a platform that wont sink… this is where my buddy turns up to help…
i send him to go harvest stones from the stone tree and he did not disapoint.
spent the rest of the afternoon playing teteras with the stones. untill i ran out,
Sunday, ill move all the dirt and continue with the stone work. i aim to get the round bench complete . see ya sunday

After seeing all the things @Chimpofm and @Hamspiced work on and produce in such quick succession, it’s no wonder people gotta be wondering wtf is taking so long with basically all DT projects haha

Definately the Exception and not the rule. lol.
I also work on usually one thing at a time. so i have the time to dedicate to each release. It’s rare i work on parallel projects but i kind of did with the field generators and the extenders and that was a bit taxing for me.

Amal you move mountains, and do some really complicated things, this is just digging holes and stacking stones. its just to keep bordem at bay, i have indoory things for winter and rain… and outdoorsy stuff for when the suns out…none of it is perticually complicated… i really just have nothing better to do…
Dont beat your self up. Ive been trying to finish this one for 3 years…

I’m just impressed by you guys… and all the cool things people in our community are doing. Server projects, 3D printing stuff, electronics, design, prototyping… just overall impressive group of folks here.

Sunday rolls apon us. And 2 tone of stone later…
Tomoz i plan to turf this level from localy harvested grass… and green it up a bit. Will also shave the lean of the seats and stay bricking that too…
