hi there im new to this kind of thing ,
i have a petkit tag and they expire every 30 days and then i have to buy a new 1
the tag can be read and the locked section ive managed to read but now im stuck
is there anything that suggests where it is or how to change it i have the dump files to compare
Are you using your phone to read it?

Do you have any other RFID tools?
Flipper Zero?
Proxmark?
Do you yse your phone for anything official on the Petkit tag?
ie. other than the app?
How do you get the information from it?
Do you scan it with the app to upload the data?
We might need to see a couple of data dumps.
one before the data has been uploaded and ine after.
I am not sure how this system works with NFC…
Are there specific readers? like a feeder? cat door etc?
Even then, that seems limited?
Do these have batteries?
Do you connect them with WiFi? but that would only be good at home…
What about Bluetooth? and it uses your phone through the app as a part of their eco system to upload data, but that requires you to be near your pet, which might work but with limitations…
Is there a sim card in it? is it IoT?
Hopefully somebody else here is familiar with this product.
Can you try and answer as many questions as possible, because im really not sure how this product works.
Otherwise ill have to google for some answers…
OK, I had too many questions, so after a quick google, some of my assumtions look likely…
Holy shit, they certainly tie you into their own locked down ecosystem.
Not something I would support, but it sounds like you have jumped in feet first…
So many products, lots of battery operated things, My guess it you connect those to your WiFi, like the water fountain, feeding bowls, litter tray.
I guess these products have consumables with NFC in them…
Do you scan the consumables on the product?
eg.
Food sachet onto the feeder?
Man, NOW i have even more questions…
this is like a real life tamagotchi…
I’m still unsure how and where NFC plays a role.
The more you can answer, the better, otherwise I / we are going to have to dive deeper on this, and personally I am not really in a position to do that at the moment, and even then, not for a while.

When we bought the cat toilet we bought the disposible trays but the litter wasnt very good so we used a liner and a different brand -fit litter which worked great but the manufacturer did a software update on the machine so now it reads the trays which expire after 30 days and yes there expensive ÂŁ20 each on average
Not all there stuff works this way and now the machine is not connected to wifi
Ive scanned the sticker/tag on a working tray and expired tray both on phone and proxmark3 on laptop managed to read section 1-3 and obtain the keys to read but i dont know if or how i can write another tag with no expiry or a long date i have cloned the tag no problem but it is a clone and has same expiry ill happily upload the dump files
