Subject: NFC Smart Lock Concept – Talos

Hello [Company Name / Team],

I’ve developed a working NFC-based smart lock system called Talos. It’s a compact, low-cost design that uses modern microcontrollers and NFC technology to provide convenient , reliable access control.

A key advantage of Talos is that it fits seamlessly within a standard Euro cylinder lock, using our bespoke adjustable coupler that can handle the full range of cylinder lengths and joins using the existing C-clip . This makes it easy to install without bulky external hardware or replacing the lock body.

Talos also features a wireless user management system, making it simple and convenient to add, remove, or update users without needing direct access to the lock hardware/software.

The concept builds on earlier versions I’ve personally used for over three years without fault, providing reliable security for my own home. Talos refines that design into a more compact, polished system ready for wider application.

I’d like to explore whether this concept could be of interest to your company, either as a licensing opportunity or as the basis for a potential collaboration. I can provide a short demo video, technical details, and presentation materials upon request.

If this aligns with your team’s interests, I’d be glad to arrange a conversation.

Best regards,

I have been saying it eversince I got my first ones from Hammy, and I will keep singing its praises.
The Repeater stickers from midwest gadgets are

Mutha Fucken Game Changers

I have many experiences of them making the unusable, usable.

Every cyborg should have a set.

I would suggest you have a chat with @Hamspiced and maybe look at incorporating his PCB repeater design into your new lock design.

Your lock project is another win for the chimpo :trophy:

Well, except for that obnoxious beep noise, that can fuck right off.

Highly recommend onshape. Super easy to learn and very powerful. It’s free to use if you don’t mind having the files you make with it be public domain.

Plus it runs great on linux

Beeping can be disabled. It tells me on start up that all components tests were completed and all hardwear works. Also tells me which direction it turns . And if the tag is correct. Really usefull if u can’t be assed to plug it in to read the serial monitor.
