Custom Work by Dangerous Things šŸ’”

Dangerous Things Custom work and Custom Conversion ( Payment ) Is a service that Dangerous Things provide.

Why do this?

What drives you to do anything!?

Do you want to be first in the world?
Do you like inventing things?
Do you just need something you canā€™t get anywhere else?
This service is a way to try out your ideas in a safe manner, performed, in my opinion, by the leading expert in this area.

What you should know

As this is a service, It uses Amals time, knowledge and materials, so as expected, It comes with a cost.
What is that cost?
Thatā€™s going to differ from project to project.
How long does it take? ie. What is the turn around?
That will also differ depending on Amals workload, priorities etc.
ā€œGood things come to those who waitā€

I have had 3 custom jobs done by Amal (including a payment conversion), and Iā€™m super happy with the cost and turn around on each and every one of them.
You just need to be flexible.

Risks?

Remember, until your project is actually ā€œA Thingā€ you are working in an experimental area, so understandably with that, comes an element of risk.
The risk is that it may not work, but as a pioneer, risks are what we do!

I would like to point out the risk is NOT a risk to health, and that is why you should use this Custom Work service and the reason I do too.

Haha, Im a dick, I was rushing to post my thread before getting on a flight.

AAANYWAY

The OTHER main reason for this thread was

With Amals time being a valuable comoddity.

I thought we could use this thread to discuss with Amal and others, our ideas, (If its not a secret)

We can see if others are interested, if itā€™s been asked before, suggested before, tested before, made before etc.

You might get your answer without wasting Amals time and your moneyā€¦
OR

It might ā€œbecome a thingā€

Example 1

The FlexUG4

I donā€™t know if it was me, or equally it could have been somebody else that did the same at the same time, but I sent a couple of the Ultimate Magic Cards (Gen4 ) to Amal for a Custom Service Feasibility and conversion, and not long after we got the FlexUG4

Example 2

The Flexm1-v2

I had a MF1k Nail for a long time, I thought they also might be a good product product for the community, so I did some google-fu, but after a long and fruitless search, I sent my one and only MF1k nail to Amal for encapsulation.
Amal received it, tested it, liked it and using his contacts that I dont haveā€¦
We now have the
FlexM1 V2

Example 3

My latestā€¦

Well, youā€™ll just have to wait and see with that one

But in reality, if this thread existed before I got it made, I should have asked the question here

I would love a customizable temperature implant similar to the beuno but maybe be able to read pulsox. I love the xbt but hate that itā€™s not 13.56, and hate that I canā€™t create an offset anymore with my flipper.

Moonshot if anything.

This is a cross post from my previous Custom Work review.

I DID NOT GET THIS DONE

I am just planting a seed here for somebody else, This is something I have seriously considered, but I donā€™t have the real-estate to accommodate it with other things I have planned.

Something like this

As you can see, you can choose, gen1a or gen2 ( Lets ignore FUID )
Yes it is like the FlexMT, but a less intimidating form factor, Obviously you can compile your own with different chips, or better yet, ask Amal to do it for you as a part of the Custom Work.

Anyway, SEED PLANTED :seedling:

Here is another cross post, but this is a better place for them.

Another custom job in the works is this,

a 20mm x 10mm T5577

I still have a few ideas around this, so before I get this custom work done, I have some testing to doā€¦
One of those tests is a range test compared to the FlexEM (20mm Diameter vs 20mmx10mm) :hamster_emoji_gif:

I DID NOT GET THIS DONE EITHER.

What I did do was try to reduce the width and slightly increase the length so they would be viable for a needle install.
I knew it would be unlikely, but had to try. Unfortunately, but not unexpected, I I must have broken something somewhere.

In its current format, It is thick and wide, and I imagine even after encapsulation, still more narrow than a FlexEM, however the height is not insignificant.

Whether it would still be viable for an custom implant I dont know.

I want to do a payment conversion but my bank requires me to enter my card physically every so many transactions or the tap stops working. Is there a way to get a credit / debit card converted so that I would still be usable?

If it requires insertion, itā€™s not gonna work.

Damnā€¦ Sad

Yeah afaik this behavior is set by the bank when they work with the card issuer to get the card order together. Itā€™s likely all the cards from this bank are like that (credit vs debit may be different). You canā€™t be sure until you test it by just doing tap without insert for dozens of transactions.

You may have to find another bank if thatā€™s the case.

What do you mean by customisable?

As in, ā€œa thingā€ that would measure PulseOx etc, that you then get encapsulated for install?
OR
you can customise certain aspects of its operation? If so, What aspects?
OR
Both?

The current XFD has a delta that needs to be established to estimate the temperature variance from where it is vs core temp. I would love one that you could input that delta. Thats the only customizable aspect.

But i would love an Xseries implant that can report back actual health data like Temp, BP, Pulsox, or even Sugar levels like the current diabetes implants. but i know those have like 3-6m limitations on it.
