Can the (currently) $60 encrypter ring have new applets loaded on after purchase using the Fidesmo app store?
My understanding is yes, but looping in @amal for technical questions.
Yep same same ![]()
Is everything ok at Cybernetic? @JoePrencipe
My order got cancelled and refunded ![]()
Edit: the cancelled and refunded order was for a card
Mine says complete but I never got tracking for the ring sizer
i stand corrected, i got the ring sizer in, however my daughter got it while i was out of town and has been playing with it ![]()
The order that got cancelled/refunded was for the card (I like this form factor better). Seeing that the rings are shipping, I ordered a ring instead … It’s gonna be less practical , but it will work ![]()
Geez, talk about misinformation ![]()
Should we delete your fake news posts?
Go for it
or add notes about it so someone reading it knows?
Ring arrived yesterday. Didn’t expect the reader, that was a nice addition so I’ll probably post that on the sale thread since I have 3.
Ring is really nice. Read range is great. Happy I get to play around with this chip now
I’m noticing that I can’t add a wristband to cart. Are y’all doing stuff in the background? ![]()
Looks like nothing is available except the card now? ![]()
I’m not gonna lie, if this forum didn’t exist I would assume the product is a scam just based on the website
I hope most of the graphics and titles are placeholders ![]()
I caved in and ordered the ring a few days ago.
You won’t be disappointed, it’s a solid purchase
Unfortunately they don’t seem to ship outside the US. Presumably they don’t want to risk the military-grade encryption technology falling into the wrong hands…
However, it has got me thinking about wearables. Are all fidesmo-based wearables running on the same underlying chip? i.e. If I get a payment ring from Tapster or cnick, am I able to use it for things like FIDO2?
Same chip but they don’t have the applets we do … no fido2 like us.
Ok, understood. Basically I’m really intrigued by the Apex, but want to get a feel for the features before committing to an implant.
The encryption standards are public. So this doesn’t make much sense unless there’s a contractual requirement or a nonsense export restriction of some sort.
Implants are not for everyone, but some of us love them and want to get more.
