Hey friends! The Cybernetic Encrypter ring dropped from $300 → $60.
Didn’t see a topic created about this yet so I was wondering if there’s any more context on this. I’m planning on getting one of these soon just to mess around, so is this price drop legit?
Astute observation. We’re actually just about to change that again. So, what’s going on is we’re running ads testing different price points right now. You’re going to see variations in price, messaging, and the product over time while we test out and move around.
I’d ban me too if I saw a brand new account shilling a product. I have no way to prove it but I’ve been a lurker for months. my only defense is that I wouldn’t refer to myself as ‘dude’
@JoePrencipe does that mean we should refrain from placing any orders? Doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence if you are just ‘testing’ different price points by actually changing the price live.
I understand where you’re coming from. The fact is that companies - and especially brand new ones - test and change price points all the time. That’s just how they survive. So this can affect confidence in the price point, I understand that. All I can tell you now that it’s going back up to a higher point in the next testing.
The good thing to look forward to, though, is that we’re working on cool new features for it =]
If one were to buy it now, would the payment actually go through? Asking for a friend
Not really sure if I’m gonna be moving soon, so I’d rather order it after I’m done and settled. But obviously if the price is gonna be 500% higher in a few days…
Yeah, payment goes through. The site’s up and working fine. It’s a v1.0, but it works. Amal does the fulfillment himself Jk, he has staff help with it.
A few minutes ago, I wrote a comment here on the price change to you, but just decided to edit it. That’s because price is something that’s actively subject to change and I don’t want to say one thing, and change that plan the next day.
Long story. To summarize it in one sentence, though, the Encrypter doesn’t do payment and the Apex Ring does. This is because of payment regulations in the United States. So we made different brands and product lines.
We are currently contemplating to release the Apex Ring in the EU so that the payment feature can be used. (I’m not sure if Amal wanted me to say that publicly yet, but I think that’s the most useful information for you so I’m spilling the beans.) If you’re interested in that, you can keep an eye out for updates regarding the Apex Ring. No promises there, though.
