its only getting worse since covid…
more and more businesses are integrating a default landing at a tip screen onto point of sale credit card terminals, like regular stores that don’t have typical server type employees who would previously have been the kind to recieve tips …
I think a walgreens (local drug\convenience store POS terminal asked for a tip the other day)
google tipflation… its maddening, but there’s not much we citizens can do

I’ve had a couple self serve gas pumps ask for a tip. Those pumps are working so hard they definitely deserve one!

That reminds me that I should port a few robot avatars to Resonite and spend more time in Chillout VR.
I know that there’s a more popular VR game but I’ve stayed clear from it ever since one of their devs tried to recruit me into a cult, growing up in one was enough irrational nonsense for me.
