Someone helped me do my xSIID implant at home and I was wondering if it might be a little too deep. I think she didn’t pull out enough before she injected it and it’s kinda visible. So far it’s healed and worked perfectly fine though and I haven’t had any complications.
I don’t really care that it’s visible though I’m just curious. I guess it’s a little cool I can show it off easier and the light is really visible.
I don’t think you can really go “too deep”. Since it’s under the skin between the fascia and muscle/other tissues it kinda has a fixed location it can go into. It’s probably more visible because you have smaller hands, low body fat, or you body just doesn’t have a deep well for it to sit there. Also could be a combination of those factors and others. I just had mine put in a few weeks ago and it’s not visible until I flex my hand and only a small pointy bump appears.
I should’ve rephrased, I meant too deep as in too far towards my wrist. That sounds about right though since my hands are more on the slim side, thanks for your input!
I think as long as it’s not next to bones and ligaments as you move your fingers around then your good.
Yes, from what I’ve read and everything it is pretty much not breakable, without really messing up your hand anyway, as long as it’s not next to bone. As long as you can move your fingers fine and it doesn’t hurt or anything then I think you me fine. Besides, it properly reads better since you can see it so much. You also know exactly where it is lol.
