I know there are specific legal issues with putting a credit card on an implantable chip. However, I’m wondering about the increasing prevalence of digital keys especially ones used via Apple pay or Google pay on your phone. Places like anytime fitness, local clubs, Ticketmaster, matter over thread devices, and many other applications are starting to use certificate-based keys via an app to work as an unlock.
I’m not quite sure of the technology behind it but I figure there could be some sort of applet for that Apex series made to have these credentials on it, or some sort of independent proprietary chip. Has this been something that’s possible or considered?
