So i know in Ukraine they switched over too fiber optic drones, But for a brief period they were using Wireless drones, i imagine in some scenarios they still do. I was advertised “Drone Disrupters” Which was probably overstock of some tech they are not using over there anymore.

My main curiosity is with civilian tech, maybe stuff from a old rc car, or some kid with a flipper with a esp32 on top. or a farm house with a yagi antenna.

If war broke out and we needed to protect ourselves. what could we do to stop most drones electronically. i figure a 12 gauge with rat/bird shot would deal with it quickly, I’m trying learn the tech side of it.

I just want to be pointed in the right direction, Maybe some book recommendations. I have access to a Hackrf, However i dont want too experiment with it, i can get a cheap broken flipper, Would preferably like too learn more about the GPIO side of it all.

Im good with a Soldering gun. it would be a cool project taking apart a broken RC car and uilizing the parts for a Flipper Gpio board:). I need to learn more though, Youtube Channel recommendations, Books, Articles, Podcasts, everything would be greatly appreciated.

Also If anyone’s curious or remember me, I did get my Proxmark working, Made enough money Selling apartment key fobs to get my hydro turned back on, Got a new room mate, And a couple older people i met through my Fob Business turned into friends! I now help them out around the house and much more :). im Certainly no Millionaire, But i dont need to worry about food on my plate anymore. Have a great afternoon/Morning!!

hide. the rate of innovation happening in this area will mean an actual war breaking out here will be using the latest fully autonomous killbox tech with no operator and no escape. however, hiding is actually easier than you think… some guys were showing how the latest heat / IR camera tech can be thwarted by a simple umbrella while you walk around.

there are special drone rounds for rifles that do much better than shotguns. look into it.

Then somebody puts a shotgun on a drone, Then an antidrone rifle round to take down the shotgun drone, etc, etc. etc. Thus leading to…

That said, if you’re interested in all purpose jamming (assuming we’re still talking RF controls) it’s a simple matter of building a transmitter that overwhelms the legitimate control signal. So if you know the approximate RF spectrum, build a transmitter that absolutely screams all across that frequency range and you’ll drown out the control system. (In war this will attract attention. In peace this will attract the direct attention of the FCC, either way someone will eventually find you and it ain’t gonna be good. )

But beware the afore mentioned tech race, there are counter - counter measures and so on and so forth.

Yeah the only thing you’ll be jamming is your own comms.. a modern war fought here won’t involve such archaic stuff. At best you’d be jamming your neighbors attempt at piloting their own drones, attempting some kind of home grown response.

I think you mis-spelled childish. Some kind of childish response. I could totally see a few neighbors going to war in the neighborhood this way.
