FlexNT possibly dead?

Hey there,

I was wanting to see if there were any debug steps I’m missing or if my FlexNT could possibly be damaged; a little background:

I had my transponder implanted back in October '18, suddenly five months later my implant is non-responsive despite in the past using it 2-3 times a week. I haven’t hit the implant site or had any noticeable damage to my hand in the past few weeks, which only adds to my confusion.

I’ve tested the transponder on a Pixel XL, a Pixel 2 XL, as well as a PN532 scanner for the Arduino. All three devices don’t detect my implant at all, but will readily recognize some NTAG216 stickers I had laying around.

Is it just luck of the draw and I got a bad transponder? Is there anything else I should be trying?

Do you recall if this was a beta version of the flexNT or a release version?

Either way it, unfortunately, sounds dead. We offer lifetime warranty on all our installables. We can cross-ship you a flexNT so you can swap it out during one procedure. I will PM you here visiting the forum to get details. Sorry to hear you’ve had an issue.
