@darthdomo
I’m seeing your review spreading around the flipper groups with a lot of positivity
At the moment, no. I’m hoping that’ll be added relatively soon. It seems like each subsystem tends to get focused on one at a time. The sub-GHz radio had gotten a lot of commits lately, hopefully at some point soon they’ll turn attention to HF RFID/NFC.
I might try and add something myself, maybe using the Iceman repo as reference. I tend to over promise a lot though, so I’m not sure if I’ll manage to get around to it in the next few days.
(Sorry for the late response, my sleep schedule is fucked)
Seems normal to me
Pm inbound about proxmark stuff
Excellent ear! I thought it was familiar but couldn’t place it. That definitely seems correct.
Agreed. I normally use an Uno with the chip removed. Works in a pinch, not ideal though. Less config options too.
Minor note, it’s not a an actual SDR. It certainly acts similarly to one with the ease of use, which is very neat. Found this online:
“Based on a TI CC1101 transceiver chip, the Flipper Zero has a sub 1-GHz radio capable of doing things like emulating a garage door remote, transmitting digital signals like OOK/ASK/FSK/GFSK/MSK at 315/433/866 MHz, analyzing and decoding popular remote control algorithms like Keeloq,”
I’ve seen some of the flipper staff trying to emphasize that it’s not an SDR (so people aren’t let down), so thought I’d throw that out there.
Oh indeed. TBH mucking around with stuff in the ISM bands is really the only reason I wanted to get a HackRF but I couldn’t justify the 500$ price tag to get one and the add on thingy to make it portable.
Excellent job on the unboxing and overview!
One of the more interesting yet trivial bits I learned is about it having a unique name. I just assumed they all had the same name until I watched your video
Mine is called:
For you iOS-ers
Oooh piece of candy
Just got mine!! New SD card should be in the mail today, and I can finally start messin’ around.
Do y’all think it would be possible to add/remove/change a password on the NExT with the Flipper, or is that probably not supported yet?
Definitely not supported yet. There’s no way to write to HF implants yet, at all. It can emulate scanned implants/cards, but it can’t clone them (if they’re HF, LF stuff already works well).
It should 100% be supported by the hardware, but the software is still somewhat lacking for HF/NFC.
I should clarify - I was referring to any password protection on the LF/T5577 side.
Ah, I see, I thought you were referring to the lock bit password on the HF side.
I just tested it, set a password on my T5577 fob with my PM3. The flipper won’t even read it, and no results for writing. It detects that there’s something in the field (LED flashes blue) but that’s it.
Slight humble brag from Amal
Will I had a great Friday, I received both my Flipper and NExT implant at the same time. I’m going to get it installed at Mean Street Tattoos, I’ll be in the area next week so by Friday I should have it in.
It will be great when there Flipper can write to both sides of the NExT. The Flipper and the NExT do go great together.
Here’s my Flippers name not as good as Amal’s of course
Made another video! Hope it’s okay to post here. Worked a lot harder on the editing on this one.
This goes over a lot of the features of qFlipper, as well as going over how to update a new Flipper upon receiving it.
@Coma you and me both. I pre-ordered, I am in the states and so far nothing. I don’t mind waiting, but it is harder when everyone else is playing with their shiny new toys.
Great vid again. Thanks for this.
Makes me even more impatient to get my black one in Europe…
Gasp…
I just realized a great use for the flipper zero
Rgb led strips… they ALL come with the exact same dinky little remote… which I’m pretty sure is IR
