FYI post for xLED 125kHz + Wireless charging works!

Don’t know where else to post this, but I have a few coloured xLED’s in my arm and I picked the 125kHz versions since I had a bunch of drivers and antennas, but they can’t be powered by you’re phone, or so I thought.

A friend tried activating the reverse wireless charging on their phone, and it does work and lights up the implants! Instead of constant glow they blink due to the phone pulsing power on it’s coil until receiving a response from things like in ear headset cases and such.

Anyhow it works and I can show them off more easily with just my phone (Pixel 7), this seems to be a widely implemented function on most phones today as well.

Yup. We included wireless charging coils with LF xLEDs for a while.

God don’t do this. You’ll burn it out eventually.

I missed that, but I also just wanted to highlight that the modern reverse wireless charging on most phones works on the same Hz, this I didn’t know.

I left one on with an el cheapo coil for like a week straight. It was fine.

The FD card’s LED popped on my Anker QIC a couple years back

But for op: listen to tac0s, he works here, I don’t, I just know how to break things.
