HID Prox II clone to Jakcom ring Help

Hi Everyone
I have an elderly aunt who keeps forgeting her security key so I thought I’d get her a ring so it is always on her. I bought a Jakcom ring that claims to have a T5577 and the Jakcom CDS RFID replicator. I have opened its software and tried to copt the HID prox key II onto the ring but I can’t get the replicator to read the Prox key. It can read the ring just fine however. the Key works fine in the security system its meant for am I doing something wrong?
Please help
Noob

I’m not familiar with this but it’s probably only able to clone EM type keys not Prox. Get yourself a proxmark3 if you want a flexible capable tool to work with RFID transponders. It’s not the most user friendly tool in the world but the firmware / capabilities are constantly getting better and this forum is a great place to come for support.

What other tools do you have?
A Proxmark3?
A flipper Zero?

Or only the Replicator?

im not familiar with the software,
But this screenshot helps

Because of this

and this

my best guess is the software can’t wont read Prox.
This is just a guess, but an obvious answer.

Which would be both surprising and disapointing, However with access to another reader, PM3 or Flipper Zero, you should be able to get this done easily.

For a one off, its probably not worth buying either, but maybe somebody you know has one? Could you reach out on the FakeBook? Do you have any maker spaces near you (the sorts of people that have those sorts of tools)

Who controlls the access?
Could you ask them to enroll the ring?

What city do you live in?
Maybe somebody here lives close by and can help?

Can she get a spare card that you could then send the card and ring to somebody to do it for you?

Just some ideas for you to consider
There are a few more questions I can ask, but these are a pretty simple solution.

The only unknown is, if the security Readers will be able to successfully couple with the Jakom ring once it is programmed (smaller antenna than her current card/ fob), but its definately worth a try

As usual @Pilgrimsmaster comes through with the better answer… but in this case I think some clarification is needed.

Based on this being the replicator product;

and this being the documentation for it;

Somehow you have to find the HID125k panel not the EMID or generic “125khz” panel… that’s probably what’s going on… either your software is not up to date or you’re using the wrong data panel in the software.

Not at all, I bow down to you and your answer, It looks like you have found the solution, and it can be done “in house” with no outside help needed

Hi Amal
I’m just a little worried that either I still won’t be able to read the prox or write to the ring or (most likely) not understand how. Is there anyway of knowing the first 2 before I invest in another peice of electronics that blows my mind?

I have a CD2 replicator and have followed the instructions but the reader does not respond when i try to read the prox key I tested the ring and the green LED lights up no problem. Ihave held ir still and in lots if different orientations but no luck.
I live in Wellington… New Zealand feel free to pop over :-}

Screenshots / photos of what you’re seeing would be most helpful.

Ha not really other than us telling you it’ll work. But, if we can’t help you make this work using a proxmark3 then we’ll give you a full refund.

so long as they keep the replicator (incase its needed to have pw sniffed) i am more than confident it can be done with the proxmark.

I’m in Auckland, and may be flying to Wellington in a few weeks.

I can bring my Proxmark3 and Flipper with me,
or I send them to you.
or you send your ring, spare card and replicator to me

Does the card/ fob say HID Prox?
I upped your user level so you can upload pictures.

Can you share a photo of the card?

good point, are we sure it’s prox and if it is are we sure it’s just prox

(if it isn’t just prox i retract my statement about being confident it can be copied to the ring)

I looked it up but am realy ignorant so could be wrong…

Also if I try to read the ring I get a green led.
But no Led if I try with the key.
The replicator tool gives me this message

The message is when I press the hid read button

I would ask the vendor you purchased the reader from. If you can believe the software, the reader does not appear to support hid prox

At this stage, I am planning on being in Wellington at the end of March or beginning of April.
I’ll likely be staying near the city end of oriental parade.
I will reach out via DM nearer the time when I have firm dates; I should be able to sort you out.
If you want, I’ll make her a couple of spares also: a card for her wallet and another fob for keyring, I’ll see if I have any siliconce bracelets left if you think she would wear one…

from the pic it’s definitely just hidprox and an official one at that so no issues with clone detection.

you’re in good hands with pilgrim i’d recommend taking him up on the offer to save yourself money and a headache of trying to understand the proxmark

Hi everyone good news (I think) as Amal suggested I got in touch with Jakcom via messenger and re read the instructions and downloaded the 64bit version of the replicator program and it seems to have worked!
I really want to thank you all for your help particularly Pilgrimsmaster and Amal you guys were great!
I was feeling very stupid and ripped off but you all helped me persist with it.
Really the world is full of generous people they just don’t tell you.
Thanks all!
Maggie
