It is out! Publicly released today Thanks so much to you for giving feedback, you have influenced the game more than you think .
Of course I’m going to keep adding to it, starting with more and more huge space stations, asteroid stations…
I’m not a big fan of asking for stuff but if you could all leave a review on the app store it would definitely help me out
So I redownloaded the new version and am retrying it.
It’s much improved. I like the humor and it’s way more intuitive.
And I’m actually enjoying it.
And I can see the progression now.
Some extra feedback.
The wiki mentions meeting tutorial Tom. But we don’t anymore. And there’s a spelling error on the part I read. I can be a grammar natzi lol.
Also when I go to the extra stuff it doesn’t do anything yet. Like the middle thing that says outer space and has a play button. Nothing plays? And the part where you can watch an ad for a box? Or pay money for 100 boxes. It won’t let me watch the ad. Maybe it’s too soon in the game? Maybe it could say that? It just seems it doesn’t work now.
But it’s keeping me more engaged and I’m liking it. Well done.
I’ll try to post some pics.
And I’ll post a review after I’ve played with it more. Good job.
Oh, one more question.
Ads make things go faster.
More meteors. Harvest faster.
If you pay for no ads. Does that go away? How do you then speed things up? Does it like just give you a token to do the same thing, and you don’t have to watch the ad?
I was actually reluctant to pay for no ads. Wondering what happened then?
“Rewarded” ads, those that you watch by choice for a reward will always be available. No ads removes “interstitial” ads like those you get every time you travel or those that popup every now and then (the second is not yet implemented).
Tbh currently buying no-ads is not super worth it unless you use the travel feature a lot but I might put a ad when you build a module for example to make it more relevant

So right now there’d be no benefit.
Yeah. You should make it slightly more annoying with ads. Haha. Can’t believe I’m saying that.
And then maybe make the remove ads a little cheaper? In the 3.00 or 4.00 range?
Where it’d be more worth it to get rid of the annoyance. And maybe say it gets rid of pop up ads but leaves the others. I’ve played games where it gets rid of all the ads and then it hinders you after you pay.

This can be due to a bad internet connexion so the ad doesn’t load or doesn’t show. Maybe you’ve already seen your quota of ads? I’m not sure but this is all handled by the ad provider, there’s not much I can do. I’ll check for bugs though.
I’ll make sure to fix the typos and eliminate poor Tom.

It’s a cool game. I’ve been playing it a while.
I like the background, quite artistic.
I got a silo. But the play button doesn’t work. It shows output of a box. And going by the other thing I’d think it’s making boxes… But it says it increases your storage by 100? Maybe get rid of the play button if you don’t use it?
There’s a kind of rock you need to purchase stuff. But I don’t see where to make it. Or how to get it?
Another possible wiki fix?
I’ve been playing it a fair amount the last few days. And it’s slowing down in interest levels. Without something further to engage.
Could there maybe be some kind of interaction when you upgrade the space station? Where the person comes out and says something funny etc? For a reward for upgrading? I keep upgrading and wondering when I’m going to hear from someone next.
Any chance of a count down timer on resource production? Like. It says it takes 500 seconds. Could there also be a time counting down when it’s active? I sit a lot and wait and wonder how much times left before it delivers the goods.
Last things.
I’m not sure what the top ad does?
Does it give water?
And could the order be rearranged. So you bring in all the meteors first and then have the harvest on bottom? When you do it in the wrong order it’s irritating. You harvest. Then make a bunch more that sit there.

There’s a slim chance you get one from asteroids, 1 in 100 actually.

Speeds up all currently active modules. It should take you to the menu and indicate that with a fast green progress bar around them. I will eventually make it so it only shows when you have active modules running.
Hum, not sure I’m gonna change that. It either forces you to be strategic and wait a bit or makes you wait for more ads which are not bad things. Although I might make all these timings a bit more random so who knows
One more thing.
If it weren’t for you mentioning the significance of Pausing the modules to better direct resource production I’m not sure I would have caught onto that real well ?
Maybe put something in there to explain that? It’s definitely a significant part of the game, starting and pausing.

Ok, following up.
I went back and retried the top ad and it worked. Meaning it showed me the accelerated progress. Maybe I didn’t have modules going when I did it before.
So all’s well.
Many new things going on! I decided to push Tiny space industries to the next level. This means a big update is coming including a deeper tutorial/storyline, more complex ships and a colony management aspect for higher level ship. New modules and more!
Sadly this big remake won’t be compatible with older saves so for those who tried the early versions will have do do a fresh start to enjoy all the new stuff.
In the meantime I made this silly thing:

Edit: One of the main reasons I’m putting much more work on TSP than what was anticipated is the general enthusiasm from early testers so again thaks to those who gave feedback and I think you will see how much you have influenced the game when it releases.
Currently TSP is off the store to avoid having more people’s saves reset when the new version comes.
