Anybody have a iOS 14 beta yet? I’ve heard 14 will contain more nfc functionality, but trying to not get my hopes too high
as far as ive read into it this is the only thing meantioned about NFC in the new update
“Supported automatically on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Supported after turning on NFC scan mode from Control Center on iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.”

But I was disappointed that currently iOS won’t do anything with vCard ndef data
We are developing on iOS 14 beta for VivoKey. The vCard thing is a permissions / security issue… as far as I know anyway. Basically NFC would need access to your address book / contacts, and that’s a line Apple didn’t want to cross with NFC… however your email client can import vCard data from attached files just fine because, well, it’s your email.
I’ve not tested this out specifically on iOS 14 but maybe something to look into… maybe they changed it?
