Hello Everybody,
Does anybody know any installers in Western Australia? I’ve found someone to do a chip implant but they keep skipping over my questions about magnets, so I’m guessing they’re not open to putting them in.
Thanks ahead of time

Who? Joeltron? If not, try Joeltron ![]()
Yup, I’ve been emailing Joeltron a bit today but didn’t want to keep pestering in case I was being politely declined. If he’s the go-to then I’ll ask a bit more when I get my chip sorted, I’m just hesitant to get a magnet too if nobody will put it in. I suppose I’ll have to be patient and wait to find out
He may be wary of magnets due to the previous state of magnets in the body mod industry (unreliable) and may not be fully aware of our magnet products and why they are different. Let him know I’d be happy to have a chat with him to catch him up to speed on our stuff if he’s up for it.
joel won’t do any advanced installs until you’ve had a few xseries as it’s not quite legal here to do scalpel work, once you’ve had a few consults with him he’ll be more open to discussing the advanced installs.
Oh wow, isn’t it? That sucks, though it sounds about right for WA (and Aus in general). We love banning cool shit.
Well that settles it then, I’ll take things slower than I had planned but that’s the responsible way I suppose. Thanks everybody!
I think it’s less about banning (by the artist) and more about liability protection.. one crazy client could ruin an entire body mod career in Australia, especially after the crackdown following this;
happy to help, feel free to dm me here or on discord if you want to chat about the options here (they are very limited) ![]()
yeah that’s definitely a better way of putting it
Wow, I hadn’t heard about that. Kinda puts things into perspective, I can see why an artist would want to cover their ass given the precedent.
I figured that if you were voluntarily signing up for a procedure like this the artist would have their liability waived assuming there was no clear negligence at play, I guess confirming or denying the negligence is where it gets complicated
Yeah.. law is interpreted. Intent is subjective. I also don’t know any legal jurisdiction where anyone can legally sign away legal protection against negligence. Who decides what’s negligent though? Law is squishy and gross, like all human endeavor.
I get my scalpel work done in NZ. I have not had any luck here in Aus.
send me a dm, i’ll see if i can’t introduce you to someone closer, i know 2 people in perth and one that travels. i’m sure we can work something out
