Is it possible to clone an Urmet key fob (multiple entry codes) onto an implantable chip?

Hello everyone,

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about this technology. I am in Sydney, Australia.

I live in an apartment block in a six block complex and have an Urmet keyfob which gives me access via four readers.

  1. My apartment door (access limited to me)
  2. My building door (access limited to everyone in my building)
  3. The building lift/elevator (probably same access as the door)
  4. The building parking garage (access for everyone in the complex)

Is it possible to have this keyfob cloned to an implantable chip and then have the chip implanted?

Any help you can give would be wonderful. Thanks in advance. j.

It looks like Urmet makes several different fobs, can you tell which one yours is?:

If it’s any of the top three it sounds like cloning is likely possible, after that it might get trickier

Thanks for your response. It looks like the top one. How would I go about finding someone to do it? I know there’s a respected installer in Sydney (sometimes) but he seems to be a tattoo/piercing/bodymod person rather than the tech person. Thanks.

If you’re willing to invest in a tool or two and spend a little time learning, you could do the cloning yourself

The tool I’d recommend is a Proxmark3

I’d also probably suggest getting a T5577 test card to make sure cloning will work prior to investing in an implant, as I don’t seem to be able find any information on exactly what protocol those fobs use

Our proxmark3 comes with at least one t5577 card for testing.

Thank you!

So - trying to sort out a process in my head - if I buy a proxmark3 with all the addons, as a person with “high side of absolutely average” technical ability, could I use it straight out of the box?

Assuming the unit would be able to read my fob, if it is clone-able, would the same unit also copy the information onto a chip?

No, But,
PC or Mac?
the setup is relatively straight forward but slightly different for each

or a slightly easier (but not Mac) barstardized version of the above

Shorther still (but this is more as a refresher for somebody who has do e it before, you probably want some more info)

Assuming the unit would be able to read my fob, if it is clone-able, would the same unit also copy the information onto a chip?

Correct.

Once you read it, we will be able to suggest which implants would be compatiable

Thank you for the information and links. I have both PC and Mac and am happy on either/both. I’m going to the UK next week so I’ll talk to my higher than average brother in law and see if he’s interested in helping.

Much appreciated! j.
