It went offline for a little bit yesterday and today. I’m not sure if it’s just for me.
Amal was doing an update : )
Oh. I see. Maybe I’m the only 24/7 active user and that’s why I noticed. DT and DT forum is my new hyperfocus (I was once obsessed for transhumanism, but things went silent in my head during the past few years). I created this account yesterday 'cause I couldn’t remember my login and password from a few years ago.
Nah, if it’s down for more than a couple of minutes people reach out. You’re in good company.

Whatever it is, you have a lot. Gotta go full capitalist and figure out a way to sell them or something.
Scoreboards aren’t great for communities IMHO. It often leads to pointless competitions for internet points that have no value.
On the other hand, positive social interactions and exchange on knowledge and information is something that does have value.
I think it’s literally just counting likes… I think giving a like is worth something and getting a like is worth a little more than something and together it forms your basis for your score. There are other things that it could count like threads started etc but I turned all that stuff off because I kind of agree it could incentivize situations like creating new threads when commenting on existing threads would be more appropriate.
